Chapter 10

Romans 10:1 Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they may be saved.

Romans 10:2 For I give them witness that they possess a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

Romans 10:3 For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the goal of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 10:5 For Moses wrote the righteousness which is out of the Law, that man who does those things will be living in them.

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is out of faith expresses in this manner, do not say in your heart, who will ascend into heaven? (That is, to bring Christ down from above)

Romans 10:7 or, who will descend into the Abyss? (That is, to bring Christ up again from the dead),

Romans 10:8 but what is said? The word is close to you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believes for righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made for salvation.

Romans 10:11 For the Scripture says, whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich to all that call on Him.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Romans 10:14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:15 And how will they preach, unless they are sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah said, Lord, who has believed our report?

Romans 10:17 Therefore faith comes out from hearing, and hearing through the speaking of God.

Romans 10:18 But I say, have they not heard? Yes truthfully, their sound went into all the land, and their words to the ends of the Roman world.

Romans 10:19 But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses said, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are not a nation, and by a nation without understanding I will anger you.

Romans 10:20 But Isaiah is very bold, and said, I was found by them that sought Me not; I was made manifest to them that asked not after Me.

Romans 10:21 But to Israel He said, all day long I have stretched out My hands to a disobedient and opposing people.
