Matt. 5:1 Seeing the multitudes, He went up to a mountain: and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him:
Matt. 5:2 then He opened His mouth, and taught them, saying,
Matt. 5:3 blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
Matt. 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they will be comforted.
Matt. 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they will inherit that land.
Matt. 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they will be filled.
Matt. 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they will obtain mercy.
Matt. 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God.
Matt. 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they will be called the children of God.
Matt. 5:10 Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
Matt. 5:11 Blessed are you, when men will revile you, and persecute you, and will say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.
Matt. 5:12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matt. 5:13 You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its savor, with what will it be salted? Thereafter it is good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot by men.
Matt. 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matt. 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a basket, but on a candlestick; and it gives light to all that are in the house.
Matt. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify Your Father who is in heaven.
Matt. 5:17 Think not that I have come to destroy the Law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
Matt. 5:18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass way, one jot or one small mark will in no way pass away from the Law, until all is fulfilled.
Matt. 5:19 Therefore whoever will break one of the least commandments, and will teach men so, he will be called the least in the kingdom of the heavens: but whoever will do and teach them, the same will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.
Matt. 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness will exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will in no way enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
Matt. 5:21 You have heard that it was said of them of old time, You will not murder; and whoever will murder will be in danger of the judgment:
Matt. 5:22 but I say to you, that whoever is angry with his brother without a reason will be in danger of the judgment: and whoever will say to his brother, Raca, will be in danger of the council: but whoever will say, You fool, will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.
Matt. 5:23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you;
Matt. 5:24 leave your gift there before the altar and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Matt. 5:25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are in the way with him; unless at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.
Matt. 5:26 Truly I say to you, you will by no means come out from there, until you have paid the last copper coin.
Matt. 5:27 You have heard that it was said by the ancients, you will not commit adultery:
Matt. 5:28 but I say to you, that all who regard of a wife to covet her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matt. 5:29 And if your right eye offends you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body should be cast into Gehenna.
Matt. 5:30 And if your right hand offends you, cut it off, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into Gehenna.
Matt. 5:31 It has been said, whoever will divorce his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce:
Matt. 5:32 but I say to you, that whoever will divorce his wife, except for the reason of adultery, causes her to commit adultery: and whoever will marry her that is divorced commits adultery.
Matt. 5:33 Again, you have heard that it has been said by the ancients, you will not swear falsely, but will perform to the Lord your oaths:
Matt. 5:34 but I say to you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:
Matt. 5:35 Nor by the earth; for it is His footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
Matt. 5:36 Neither will you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
Matt. 5:37 But let your yes be yes; and let your no be no: for whatever is more than these comes of evil.
Matt. 5:38 You have heard that it has been said, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
Matt. 5:39 but I say to you, that you resist not evil: but whoever will strike you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Matt. 5:40 And if any man will sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.
Matt. 5:41 And whoever will compel you to go a mile, go with him two.
Matt. 5:42 Give to him that asks you, and from him that would borrow from you do not turn away.
Matt. 5:43 You have heard that it has been said, you will love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.
Matt. 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matt. 5:45 that you may be the children of Your Father who is in the heavens: for He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matt. 5:46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-collectors do the same?
Matt. 5:47 If you embrace your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even those without God do the same?
Matt. 5:48 Therefore be complete, just as Your Father who is in heaven is complete.
