Matt. 4:1 Then Jesus was led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil.
Matt. 4:2 When He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward hungry.
Matt. 4:3 When the tempter came to Him, he said, if you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Matt. 4:4 But He answered and said, it is written, man will not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
Matt. 4:5 Then the Devil took Him up into the holy city, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Matt. 4:6 and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He will give his angels charge concerning You: and in their hands they will hold You up, unless at any time You dash Your foot against a stone.
Matt. 4:7 Jesus said to him, it is written again, you will not tempt the Lord your God.
Matt. 4:8 Again, the Devil took Him up to an exceedingly high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the Roman world, and the glory of them;
Matt. 4:9 and said to Him, all these things will I give You, if You will fall down and worship me.
Matt. 4:10 Then said Jesus to him, get you away, Satan: for it is written, you will worship the Lord your God, and Him only will you serve.
Matt. 4:11 Then the Devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Matt. 4:12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, He departed into Galilee;
Matt. 4:13 leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is on the sea coast, in the borders of Zebulon and Naphtali:
Matt. 4:14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
Matt. 4:15 the land of Zebulon, and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations;
Matt. 4:16 the people who sat in darkness saw great light; and to those who sat in the region and shadow of death light is arising.
Matt. 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, repent: for the kingdom of the heavens is at hand!
Matt. 4:18 Then Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishermen.
Matt. 4:19 He said to them, follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matt. 4:20 Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.
Matt. 4:21 Going on from there, He saw other two brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a boat with Zebedee their father, fixing their nets; and He called them.
Matt. 4:22 Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him.
Matt. 4:23 Then Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Matt. 4:24 So His fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought to Him all sick people that were taken with different diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with demons, and those which were insane, and paralytics; and He healed them.
Matt. 4:25 Then there followed Him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.
