Matt. 10:1 When He had called to Him His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Matt. 10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; the first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Matt. 10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax-collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
Matt. 10:4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed Him.
Matt. 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out, and commanded them, saying, do not go into the way of the nations, and into any city of the Samaritans do not enter:
Matt. 10:6 but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matt. 10:7 And as you go, preach, saying, the kingdom of the heavens is at hand!
Matt. 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons: freely you have received, freely give.
Matt. 10:9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor copper in your money belts,
Matt. 10:10 nor bag for your journey, neither two tunics, neither shoes, nor yet staffs: for the workman is worthy of his sustenance.
Matt. 10:11 Into whatever city or town you will enter, inquire in it who is worthy; and there stay until you go from there.
Matt. 10:12 And when you come into a house, greet it.
Matt. 10:13 And if the house is worthy, let your peace come on it: but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Matt. 10:14 Whoever will not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Matt. 10:15 Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Day of Judgment, than for that city.
Matt. 10:16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves: therefore, be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matt. 10:17 But beware of men: for they will take you to the Sanhedrin, and they will whip you in their synagogues;
Matt. 10:18 and you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the nations.
Matt. 10:19 But when they hand you over, give no thought how or what you will speak: for it will be given to you in that same hour what you will speak.
Matt. 10:20 For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of Your Father who speaks in you.
Matt. 10:21 For a brother will hand over a brother to death, and the father the child: and the children will revolt against their parents and cause them to be put to death.
Matt. 10:22 And you will be hated by all men for My name’s sake: but he that is enduring to the completion will be saved.
Matt. 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee into another: for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel, until the Son of man comes.
Matt. 10:24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the slave above his lord.
Matt. 10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the slave as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call them of his household?
Matt. 10:26 Therefore fear not them: for there is nothing covered, that will not be revealed; and hidden, that will not be known.
Matt. 10:27 What I tell you in darkness you speak that in light: and what you hear in the ear; you declare that on the housetops.
Matt. 10:28 Fear not those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
Matt. 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And one of them will not fall on the ground without Your Father.
Matt. 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Matt. 10:31 Therefore fear not, for you are of more value than many sparrows.
Matt. 10:32 Therefore whoever will confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father who is in heaven.
Matt. 10:33 But whoever will deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
Matt. 10:34 Think not that I have come to bring peace on the land: I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
Matt. 10:35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
Matt. 10:36 For a man’s enemies will be they of his own household.
Matt. 10:37 He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
Matt. 10:38 And he that takes not his cross, and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me.
Matt. 10:39 He that finds his life will lose it: and he that loses his life for My sake will find it.
Matt. 10:40 He that receives you receives Me, and he that receives Me receives Him that sent Me.
Matt. 10:41 He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
Matt. 10:42 Whoever will give a drink to one of these little ones, even a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he will in no way lose his reward.
