Mark Chapter 13

Mark 13:1 Then as he went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

Mark 13:2 And Jesus answered and said to him, you see these great buildings? There will not be left one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.

Mark 13:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him secretly,

Mark 13:4 tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things are about to be fulfilled?

Mark 13:5 And Jesus answered them and began to say, take heed unless anyone deceive you:

Mark 13:6 for many will come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and will deceive many.

Mark 13:7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled: for such things must be; but the end will not be yet.

Mark 13:8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there will be earthquakes in different places, and there will be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of the pain of childbirth.

Mark 13:9 Keep an eye out for one another: for they will deliver you up to the Sanhedrin; and in the synagogues and you will be beaten: and you will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them.

Mark 13:10 And this gospel must first be proclaimed among all nations.

Mark 13:11 But when they will lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you will speak, but whatever will be given to you in that hour, you speak that: for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

Mark 13:12 Now brother will betray brother to death, and father his child; and children will rise up against their parents, and will cause them to be put to death.

Mark 13:13 For you will be hated by all men for My name’s sake: but he that will endure to the end, the same will be saved.

Mark 13:14 But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it should not, (let him that reads, understand), then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains:

Mark 13:15 and let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter in it, to take anything out of his house:

Mark 13:16 and let him that is in the field not return to grab up his clothes.

Mark 13:17 But woe to them that are with child and to them that nurse babies in those days!

Mark 13:18 And you pray that your flight will not be in the winter.

Mark 13:19 For in those days there will be tribulation, which had not happened from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, at this time and will not ever be.

Mark 13:20 For unless that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake whom He has chosen, He has shortened the days.

Mark 13:21 Then if any man will say to you, Look, here is Christ; or, look, He is there; believe him not:

Mark 13:22 for false Christs and false prophets will rise, and will show signs and wonders, to deceive, if it were possible, even the elect.

Mark 13:23 But take you heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

Mark 13:24 But in those days, after that same tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not reflect her light,

Mark 13:25 for the stars of the heavens will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.

Mark 13:26 Then they will see the Son of man coming in the cloud with great power and glory.

Mark 13:27 Then will He send His angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the extreme part of the earth to the extreme part of the heavens.

Mark 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when her branch is yet tender, and puts out leaves, you know that summer is near:

Mark 13:29 So you in like manner, when you will see these things come to pass, know that it is close, even at the doors.

Mark 13:30 Truthfully I say to you, that this generation will not pass, until all these things are done.

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth will pass away: but My words will not pass away.

Mark 13:32 But of that day and that season no man knows, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Mark 13:33 You take heed, watch and pray: for you do not know when the time is.

Mark 13:34 For the Son of Man is like a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

Mark 13:35 Therefore watch: for you do not know when the master of the house comes, at evening, or at midnight, or at the rooster crowing, or in the morning:

Mark 13:36 unless coming unexpectantly he finds you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all, watch!
