Luke 0:Chapter 21

Luke 0:1 And He looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

Luke 0:2 And He saw also a certain poor widow casting into that place two small coins.

Luke 0:3 And He said, in reality I say to you, that this poor widow has cast in more than everyone:

Luke 0:4 for all these have out from their abundance cast in to the offerings of God: but she out of her deficiency has cast in all that she had to live.

Luke 0:5 And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts, He said,

Luke 0:6 as for these things which you behold, the days will come, in which there will not be left one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.

Luke 0:7 Then they asked Him, saying, Master, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to come to pass?

Luke 0:8 And He said, take heed that you are not deceived: for many will come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: do not go after them.

Luke 0:9 But when you will hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not yet.

Luke 0:10 Then He said to them, nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

Luke 0:11 and great earthquakes will occur in different places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs will there be from the heavens.

Luke 0:12 But before all these, they will lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake.

Luke 0:13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.

Luke 0:14 Therefore settle it in your hearts, not to think ahead before making your defense:

Luke 0:15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict nor resist.

Luke 0:16 You will be betrayed both by parents, and brothers, and relatives, and friends; and some of you will be put to death.

Luke 0:17 And you will be hated of all men for My name’s sake.

Luke 0:18 Not even a hair of your head will perish.

Luke 0:19 In your endurance you gain your souls.

Luke 0:20 For when you will see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know that the desolation of it is close.

Luke 0:21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let those who are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countryside enter into her.

Luke 0:22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled!

Luke 0:23 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that nurse, in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath on this people.

Luke 0:24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be taken away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the times of the nations be fulfilled.

Luke 0:25 And there will be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and on the land with anguish among nations, in perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Luke 0:26 men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking for those things which are coming on the Roman world: for the powers of heaven will be shaken.

Luke 0:27 And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Luke 0:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and raise your heads; for your redemption approaches.

Luke 0:29 And He spoke to them a parable; behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

Luke 0:30 when they are already budding, you see and know of yourselves that summer is now close at hand.

Luke 0:31 So likewise you, when you see these things come to pass, know you that the kingdom of God is close at hand.

Luke 0:32 Truthfully I say to you, this generation will not pass away, until all be fulfilled.

Luke 0:33 Heaven and earth will pass away: but My words will not pass away.

Luke 0:34 And take heed to yourselves, unless at any time your hearts be overcharged with dissipation, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come on you unawares.

Luke 0:35 For as a snare will it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole land.

Luke 0:36 Therefore watch you, and pray always, that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man!

Luke 0:37 And in the day time He was teaching in the temple; and at night He went out, and stayed on the mount that is called the Mount of Olives.

Luke 0:38 So all the people came early in the morning to Him in the temple, for to hear Him.
