Hebrews Chapter 8

Heb. 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken the epitome is this: we have such a high priest, who sat in the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Heb. 8:2 a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

Heb. 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: therefore, it is of necessity that this Man have somewhat also to offer.

Heb. 8:4 For if He remained upon the land, He would not be a priest, there are those that offer gifts according to the Law:

Heb. 8:5 who serve as a pattern and shadow of the heavenly, as Moses was advised when he was about to complete the tabernacle: then, see to it, He says, that you make all things according to the pattern presented to you on the mountain.

Heb. 8:6 But now He has achieved a more excellent ministry, so much greater is He also, the Mediator of a superior covenant, which was established on superior promises.

Heb. 8:7 For if that first covenant had been blameless, then no place would have been sought for the second.

Heb. 8:8 Then blaming them, He says, behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb. 8:9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in My covenant, and I showed no care for them, says the Lord.

Heb. 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will arrange with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will supply My Laws into their mind, and writing them upon their hearts: and I will be to them God, and they will be to Me a people:

Heb. 8:11 and they will not teach everyone his neighbor, and everyone his brother, saying, know the Lord: for all will recognize Me, from the least to the greatest.

Heb. 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessnesses will I remember no more.

Heb. 8:13 In that He says, a new covenant, He has rendered the first obsolete. Now that which decays and is growing old is near vanishing away.
